Our puppy, "Kia" (Cavalier X Cocker Spaniel)

We are Dan and Trish Giesbrecht...

Trish has been involved in dog training since her first dog (an American Eskimo) and went on to compete in agility with him and the dogs that followed.

Dan got involved in dog training since he met Trish and has been involved in dog training for the last 6 years.  He has also competed in agility up to the Masters Level.

We have both been to a number of various dog training seminars and taught Agility and Obedience Classes in Saskatoon for just over 3 years.  We started teaching in High Level in the Spring of 2008.

About Our Classes...

Obedience - We are training YOU to know how to be successful teaching YOUR dog!  All breeds or mixed breeds welcome.  Be prepared to practice with your dog at home in between lessons.  See Our Products page for more information.

AGILITY - Agility is great for improving your dog's confidence and giving them something productive to do. In agility you will be introduced to the various agility obstacles (jumps, tunnels, dog walk, weave poles, pause table, etc.)  You will also learn various handling moves and techniques.  Each set of agility classes progress in difficulty and you will learn more and more.  Our goal is to train you right from the beginning with the skills needed to be able to compete if you would chose to do that someday.  If you want to do agility just for fun - that's what EVERYONE is there for!  We ask that your dog be at least 6 months old to participate in this class.

Advanced Clicker Class - Focus & Behavior
This class is only open to students we've taught before, or people who already know what clicker training is.  It's a class taught entirely with clicker training and is focused on improving dog's focus & behavior.  It is a very helpful class for dogs who are very reactive/aggressive or dogs who shut down easily and aren't able to focus.

ALL dogs are welcome in the classes.  If you think your dog is aggressive we may want to put you in Private Lessons for the safety of the other dogs and people in the class.  We have trained many dogs and have not found a single one that doesn't enjoy agility!  Old dogs are definitely able to learn new tricks.  As long as your dog is healthy it is welcome.  We have trained all different kinds of breeds and mixed breeds from Yorkshire Terriers to Bichons to Rottweilers to Border Collies.  All are welcome!

In all our classes we use positive methods and will introduce you to the concept of clicker training which you can choose to use if you want to.  Please bring LOTS of small, chewy and yummy treats to class with you (cheese, wieners, Rollover, Pounce, Top Choice, etc.)  Chewy treats are much better than hard, crunchy treats (they take less time to eat and don't leave crumbs on the ground!)  They need to be treats that your dog really likes (the better the treat, the harder they will work!)

PRIVATE LESSONS - We can arrange to teach you private lessons at your house or ours.  We can teach specific to your situation to train the things you want to know.  We also would like to teach really aggressive dogs in Private lessons until they are improved - for the safety of the other dogs and people in the classes.
